I like to work in bold colors, even strong solid colors, when I make a quilt. On occasion, though, it becomes necessary to work in a palette different to my personal taste. That is what happened when I made this quilt as a birthday gift for my friend, Sandy!
The soft pinks, greens, blues and yellows are from Moda's line by Three Sisters. It is very soft with minimal contrast so I added the stronger solid pink for a bit of punch.
After the quilting, this diagonal stripe fabric gets lost a little bit.
I am really pleased with how it turned out.
The birthday girl loved it! That's what counts the most!!

Very pretty Sandi...I just love the colors, sorry I didn't get your earlier message. I am serving a brunch today for my son and his family so I had to get the crock pot going. I am even making Mimosa's...don't ask me where I got all my energy. Talk to you later.
