EASY STREET PROGRESS

My last post about the Easy Street Mystery Quilt Project by Bonnie Hunter was without pictures.  I now have the capability to add some pictures.

Here are my fabrics and a few of my Step One Four-Patch blocks.

I exchanged my oranges for the Teal/Turquoise Blues and included some periwinkle in my purples.

I will be doing some blocks of each step in the beginning because of time restraints.  I will finish this after the first of the year.

Step Two was making Flying Geese with the Purples and Black/White background fabrics.

I used the EZ Angle Ruler and the Companion Ruler that Bonnie suggested.  I was very happy with my results.  There was minimum sliver trimming.

I think this is going to be another fun adventure.

    1. Thanks, Lynn. I know that I cannot devote a lot of time to it right now so I want to try each step and then be able to follow up on the comments to see what others find easy or difficult. I MUST complete some Christmas gifts!! Glad you like my fabs. So do I!

    2. Sandi it was so much fun to see you stopped by my 'place' - I so enjoyed the 'visit' too! I'm thinking my eyes were too big for my sewing machine to have started 2 more - LOL. Enjoyed a day off today from the shop but not one lick of sewing was done - but this isn't a race and I think I'll adopt your approach and do a bit of each step (for each quilt) - I joined a group for 2013 - it's for 'starting' new projects but we don't have to finish - looks like I might be off to a good start!

    3. OMG, Lynn, I could not join a group that encouraged "starting" with no requirement to finish!!!! I would be hopelessly buried under UFOs. As it is, I have over 20 that need completion as I write. I think you are off to a marvelous start for this group! LOL

    1. Thanks, Sharon. I ordered my rulers years ago on line. I tink Gloria has the EZ Angle and might be able to get the companion. Just Google EZ Angle and Companion Angle Ruler and you should easily find them.

  3. LOve those little flying geese units , very nice colors sandi. I don't have the rulers so used a method off Quilters Cache for making four at a time...it went very fast and was easy once I fiddled with the measurements :) Such fun to see your progress Sandi.

  4. Thanks, Rhoda. I think you have to use whatever method works for you and you have the right tools. I have taught a number of classes and have accumulated a number of rulers because it was a way to keep developing classes. Using different methods to do basic techniques.
