What a fun day we had today. My Pbees friends and I went to Decherd Needleworks for a fun Sew Day. We made basket blocks from the Buggy Barn book called "Still Crazy".
We started out by stacking our fabrics and then using a freezer paper template to cut up the stacks. Then we shifted some of the fabrics from the top stack to the bottom stack until we had a good mixture to make our crazy blocks.
Lots of different styles and tastes in fabrics and we had some interesting blocks at the end of the day.

This is the first four of a total of twelve blocks. Then we will square these up and choose a layout.
That will be in a future post.
Thanks, Carol, for being our awesome leader today!

You had a great time putting the 'puzzle pieces' together, didn't you :-) I did a small (9 block) throw from a Buggy Barn pattern --- they are fun! Will we get to see this one "in person:?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, BJ. Think I might get it finished by the end of next month. I am sandwiching in among three other "more pressing" projects that have deadlines!
DeleteLooks like you and your Pbees had lots of fun...yeah for you.
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed a fun day - lots of laughter and sewing and food!
