On the Second Saturday of each month our local Modern Quilt Guild meets at Sew-Bee-It Quilt Shop in Ringgold, Georgia. We are a small group and some months we are fewer in number than other months.
Today we had a wonderful Show and Tell from our members.
Martha, Joan, Debra, and JoAnn shared their Mini Bow Tucks Purses they have made.
Joan had a "Linus" charity quilt that she made from fabric that was donated by Gloria Black, owner of Sew-Bee-It quilt shop.
Today we had a wonderful Show and Tell from our members.
Martha, Joan, Debra, and JoAnn shared their Mini Bow Tucks Purses they have made.
JoAnn modeled her crocheted poncho for our newest member, Catherine Price.
We have been choosing a focus project each month from the book Modern Mix by Jessica Levitt.
This month's project was a small pillow using two colorways.
I also showed my Locker Hooked Rug in Monochromatic Beiges to Browns.
The last Show and Tell was my "Whirly Gigs" an original design using some pink components set into a burgundy background and quilted in a variegated pink/burgundy thread. Until next month --
I will be sewing all month to have something to share with my quilting friends.

Sandi I love the pillow...wow looks like the meeting turned out really good...I am sorry I missed it. Hopefully I will be able to be there next month....Love the whirly gigs....
ReplyDeleteI missed you, Sharon. Next month Debra Nance will be the moderator. She will bring a new project to us. How are you feeling today?
DeleteThanks foe posting the photos, Sandi. Sure was a fun meeting! See you next time.
ReplyDeleteIt really was a fun meeting. Wish I could sew with you gals on Saturday. Hoping to make it next month. I enjoy visiting with you.
DeleteI am feeling ok my head is all over the place but physically feeling ok? Do we know what project Debra is going to do...Or should I just do my pillow?
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and do this month's pillow. Debra will show us the new project in April and then we will work on it to show at the May meeting.
DeleteI have you in my constant prayers. This must be so overwhelming for you.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it....ok I already started a pillow so I will just work on getting that done. I just did not know if Debra knew what she was going to do or?
DeleteShe mentioned the project on page 100 in our book. The format we have been using is that the moderator chooses a project and brings her completed project to show and gives any tips that she thinks are helpful. Then all the members make one during the next month. Then the next moderator does the same thing. OK?
